Just
sitting here thinking about yesterday
When
you were so young and pretty
And
the years went by so fast, and they
Took
their toll on you, yet you never stopped smiling.
Just
sitting here thinking about the hand you were dealt
For
a woman as young as you were,
Should
never have had to feel the way that you felt
But
even then you never stopped smiling.
Just
sitting here thinking about your smile today
With
the lines of life on your beautiful face,
And
the memories you hold in your eyes of blue-grey
And
even now you never stop smiling.
